OUR ORIGINS
After completing my undergraduate degree in the United States, I returned to India with the intention of pursuing a conventional corporate career. During this time, I was introduced to the depth and beauty of India’s traditional art forms. and more importantly, to the realities faced by the artists behind them.

Despite their extraordinary skill and cultural significance, many artisans remain underpaid and overlooked. That contrast stayed with me, and it became the foundation for Saussurea.

Saussurea was created not just as a profit-driven business, but as a platform to support artisans, directly ensuring their work is valued, recognized, and rewarded fairly, while bringing authentic Indian art to a wider audience.
